From the Sheriff of Caerthe

To all who read these letters, greetings.

With the heat of summer full upon us I would like to take a moment to remind everyone camping of a few things:

  1. Please drink plenty of water. It is best to start drinking extra water 2 to 3 days before the event as it takes time for the body to fully hydrate. Once at an event, keep sipping the water all day, and night, long.
  2. Fires. Most camping events are prohibiting open fires this time of year. Of course this is on a case-by-case basis and will depend on where the event is held. With the wet spring we have a ton of grass drying all across the Front Range. This grass is now getting to a point where fire will travel faster than you think. Please, carry an extinguisher with you and make a point of finding out the fire conditions and regulations for that site for that weekend.

Lost and found. The list is still growing long. Granted, most of it is not highly important things like car keys and medications but I do have a growing list of cups and tent parts. If you are missing something please contact me through the website to see if I have that something of yours. Anything not claimed by Winter Solstice will be donated for auction at the Fortress Benefit Revel.
